The Internet is a fantastic tool. It is brilliant for traders, since it now allows the average person to trade from home with Direct Market Access. This means more and more new traders are being lured into trading. Online workshops with big promises abound.

Yes, you can spend your money on workshops just as easily as you can lose it in the markets if you don't know what to look for.

I love to work in very small group workshops, and coach clients over the telephone on a one on one basis. Serious traders prefer to work in this way and for good reason. The immediacy this form of coaching forces you to be disciplined and makes you directly accountable.

You cannot listen to sessions at your leisure and hide behind excuses which often are mechanisms of self sabotage. Workshops  will give you the feel and the hands on experience of dealing with yourself in real situations. You are interacting on a very physical level and this sends strong  messages to your brain as you are employing a multitude of different modalities all at the same time. In other words, when you attend a workshop the likelihood of getting a shift is much greater than just working online at your own pace. Let's face it, your own pace is very unlikely to stretch you to move to the next level.

Again, if you are serious about trading mastery you will want to have a regular inter action with your coach to keep you on track. Reading books and following a practice like meditation serve to keep you focused and in the grove before you can stray too much.

Maintaining and improving your game is a daily job. I cannot stress this enough. It matters little if you have decided to learn to trade as a new profession or if you are a veteran trader. The same principles apply. It is worth to take the trouble to find out about workshops that suit your style. Yes, you may have to give up a day or even two to attned and travel. It will pay immense benefits in the long run.

Trading is a lonely game, and it is important to physically interact with like minded people. We are in danger of soley living in a virtual world. The Internet is great, personal human contact is  a core desire which cannot be replaced by virtual contact, no matter how valuable the Internet is. Let us never lose sight of the importance of this.
