It is not as difficult as you may think. Meditation is not about emptying your mind and stop thinking. This actually is impossible. In fact, if you try to stop your thoughts from wandering, you are agitating your mind. Instead of relaxing, the mind becomes agitated. Regular meditation will let you witness your thoughts, which normally just happen unconsciously. When you can witness your thoughts you can change them. This is a very important benefit of meditation. We all run negative and limiting thought patterns and these need to be identified and neutralised if you want to live a life in balance and harmony and achieve your goals.
